Over the years, ZHEC has handled many different types of large-scale contracts, including the construction of the Infrastructure and Bridge for the Wanchai Reclamation project, the Infrastructure of the Tung Chung New Town Development, the Link Bridge for the New Hong Kong Airport at Chek Lap Kok, the Route 9 Ngong Shuen Chau Viaduct, the Road T7 in Ma On Shan and the Northern Access Road for Cyberport Development at Telegraph Bay. These projects include bridges that vary in terms of type and technical requirements.

The outstanding features of ZHEC's projects are the excellent quality, the superior construction technology, and the ability to complete projects within narrow timeframes. These have all earned the recognition of the Hong Kong SAR Government and professionals in the sector.

In 2001 and 2002, ZHEC won two particularly large-scale construction contracts as the main contractor. The total value of the Construction of Road T7 at Ma On Shan and the Construction of Route 9 Ngong Shuen Chau Viaduct is in excess of HK$3.0 billion.
