China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. (CHEC) is the successor of China Harbour Engineering Company (Group) that was formed in 1949 as one of the largest state-owned enterprises in China. CHEC is now the major international operating division of China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) Group, which consists of 37 solely-invested and share-holding subsidiary companies and 19 joint stock companies. CCCC has a registered capital of RMB 10.8 billion RMB and was ranked the 14th among the Top 225 International Contractors listed by the Engineering News Record (ENR, U.S.A.) over the world.

In the Mainland China, CHEC bears the national qualification under the Ministry of Construction of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) for Harbour, Road, Building, Environmental, EPC and other engineering projects. Marine Engineering and Road & Bridge Construction - We provide services relating to the construction of transportation infrastructures, including ports, roads, bridges, tunnels and other facilities both domestically and internationally. We hold the highest ‘special grade’ and ‘grade 1’ qualification certificates granted by the Ministry of Construction for conducting port construction and infrastructure work in the Mainland China. We also provide construction services in the form of EPC and BOT projects.

Dredging & Reclamation - We together with CCCC are the largest dredging company in China and were ranked the third largest globally based on dredging capacity in 2005, according to the report by the Chinese Dredging Industry Association. We have been involved in most of the major dredging and reclamation works along China’s coastline. We provide a comprehensive range of dredging and reclamation services both domestically and internationally.

Survey & Design - CHEC is also one of the leading port, road and bridge design companies in China with top-tier design institutes. Our Survey & Design Business provides a complete range of design services, including consulting and planning services, feasibility studies, designs, engineering consulting, engineering surveys and technical studies, project management, project supervision, construction and other services. These services support our customers in the port work and infrastructure markets both domestically and internationally.

CHEC has already begun operating in the international market since early eighties and after decades of diligent work, the company has developed into a major international enterprise with branches in more than 20 countries and business activities spanning the continents of Asia, North and South America, Europe, Africa and Australia. In 2007, the total value of international contracts won by CHEC is over two billion USD.

Zhen Hua Engineering Co., Ltd. (ZHEC), as the representative of CHEC in Hong Kong, manages CHEC's business activities in Hong Kong, part of South-East Asia, and South America. Established in Hong Kong in 1982, ZHEC has been at the forefront of planning, design and construction of marine & port works, site formation, building and civil infrastructure works over the last 26 years. ZHEC has also diversified into property development, trading and equipment leasing. We operate Quality & Environmental Management Systems certified by HKQAA based on ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 principles.
