The works mainly include the construction of vehicle clearance plazas, ancillary buildings and facilities, vehicular bridges, at-grade roads, drainage, sewerage, water supplies, landscape, utilities and electrical and mechanical works, etc. for Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Hong Kong Boundary Crossing Facilities. The major facilities included : 3 nos box culverts, 1 nos subway and common utilities enclosure, 11 nos bridges, 27 nos buildings, 85 nos vehicle inspection station, 3 nos pumping stations and 1 nos Sewage treatment plant, road works and facilities, drainage works and so on.
The Hong Kong Port provides inspection and immigration facilities for passengers and vehicles entering and exiting Hong Kong via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. It has also become a strategic transportation hub in the west of Hong Kong. The overall design of the Hong Kong Port is based on the principles of innovation, aesthetics, energy efficiency and sustainable development.
