The Contract mainly comprises the design and construction of a dual 3－lane carriageway in the form of marine viaduct from the HKSAR boundary to the Scenic Hill of approximately 9.4km in length.

Construction of the HKLR in close proximity to one of the business international airports in the world gives rise to various design and construction challenges. In particular, the Airport Height Restrictions (AHR) limit the height of permanent structures and influence the choice of construction plant. An equipment height Monitoring System is also installed to monitor the height of machines during construction.

The Hong Kong Link Project connecting the main bridge of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the Hong Kong Port is an important milestone in the construction of the Hong Kong section of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.
