Ngong Shuen Chau Viaduct (NSCV) is the eastern approach road to the Stonecutters Bridge. Its main road comprises 2.2km of dual 3-lane carriageway connecting the West Kowloon Highway and the section of Route 8 from Sha Tin at Cheung Sha Wan (near Lai Wan Interchange) to the eastern end of the Stonecutters Bridge. This project has adopted An alternative design for the bridge structure. This is composed of monolithic deck and pier structure whereas the original design consists of bridge deck supported by bearings.

The flyover connected the proposed Stonecutters Island Bridge, West Kowloon Highway and the Cheung Sha Wan to Sha Tin section of Route 8 at the Cheung Sha Wan Lai Wan Interchange. The flyover is a major part of the Tsing Yi to Cheung Sha Wan section of Route 8.
