In 1982, China Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Communications Construction Group, established a representative company in Hong Kong: Zhenhua Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Hong Kong Zhenhua or Zhenhua).

Over the years, Zhenhua has undertaken reclamation projects covering an area exceeding 2,200 hectares, equivalent to one-third of Hong Kong Island. The company has completed project contracts worth over HK$200 billion.
